Learning objectives:
- Identify at least 3 ways that trauma impacts child development.
- Be able to reference at least 3 pieces of research discussing the evidence supporting the use TF-CBT
- Identify and describe the rationale for each component of the TF-CBT model
- Describe 2-3 strategies to accomplish the goals of the Stabilization phase.
- Describe 2-3 strategies to accomplish the goals of the Trauma Narrative phase.
Requirements:
- Participants are required to be the following:
- Master’s Level Clinician (licensed or unlicensed).
- Providing therapy to children and their families.
- A person in graduate school/working on their master’s and participating in a behavioral health internship where they treat children would also be appropriate for this training.
- Complete the 11-hour prerequisite training course.
- You must have received confirmation that you are registered for the TF-CBT Two Day Training in sccLearn (waitlist status is not registered).
- Please read the Registration and Prep section of Alicia's Place Consulting website (see link) and fill out the required form (scroll down to find the form under the “Prep” subheading). http://www.tfcbtconsulting.com/registration.
- Complete the prerequisite training course which can be found at https://tfcbt2.musc.edu. This is an 11-hour training, so we suggest checking it out sooner rather than later
- Upload your TFweb completion certificate to Alicia's Place Consulting website by 5 pm on October 7th (scroll down to the heading titled “Prerequisites”) http://www.tfcbtconsulting.com/registration
- Please note: The cost for the prerequisite training course is $35 per registrant. Registrants who wish to take the TF-CBT training will need to pay the $35 to take the prerequisite course. If you are a county employee, you may seek reimbursement though our County’s Education Reimbursement Program (ERP). For those who work for one of our partnering agencies, please talk to your management about reimbursement options.
