Training and education

The Behavioral Health Services Department’s (BHSD) Learning Partnership Division provides exceptional trainings for our workforce. The trainings are free for the County's employees and contract providers. Continuing Education (CEs) fees are also free for employees and contract providers who register for our trainings in sccLearn, the County's learning portal.

Some providers may be exempt from taking certain co-occurring trainings based on their standings in work history and previously completed trainings.

A 5270 authorizes mental health practitioners to hold adults or minors for 30 days of involuntary, inpatient hospitalization when they remain gravely disabled at the end of their 5250 holds.
