Taking action for whole health and wellbeing co-facilitator training
This certificate course is co-facilitated by Copeland Center Certified Wellbeing Mentors using the Copeland Center’s evidence and experiential-based peer strategies. Participants in this certificate course are provided workbooks and workshop materials along with a copy of the “Taking Action” guide developed by SAMHSA. SAMHSA’s “Taking Action” materials were developed under contract with input from fifteen peers in recovery from mental health, addictions, and co-occurring challenges as well as family careers and profession care providers. Participants will learn how to co-facilitate “Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing” workshops including action planning for prevention and recovery using techniques that support a core set of values and ethics. This program is based on two or more trained co-facilitators following a defined checklist of values and ethics. In this course, trained “Taking Action” Co-Facilitators will learn how to train and mentor their community members to lead groups using a “Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing” curriculum and other SAMHSA based recovery publications. In this workshop we ask that participants who attend be ready to share with others both in large groups and small groups. What supports this course to be effective is that we all share and learn from each other.
