Sensory Processing: Strategies for the home

This training is designed for professionals and caregivers who work with children impacted by prenatal drug exposure. It will provide essential knowledge on how sensory processing difficulties impact children with prenatal drug exposure. By understanding sensory modulation and implementing effective sensory strategies, caregivers and professionals can help children achieve better self-regulation, leading to improved behavior, attention, and emotional well-being. Participants will gain an understanding of sensory modulation and practical strategies to create supportive environments for children facing sensory challenges. Participants will be able to define sensory processing and explain its impact on children prenatally exposed to drugs or alcohol, including how sensory processing difficulties can affect a child’s ability to function, learn, and interact socially.
