Providing culturally responsive care to people we serve
According to the current research, diverse individuals who are attempting to navigate the mental health system in the United States continue to be in need of receiving culturally responsive care. This workshop is designed to provide important tools to behavioral/mental health professionals to help them to provide culturally responsive care to those they serve. During the course of this workshop, participants will gain a greater understanding of what constitutes culturally responsive care, the rationale for its importance in the delivery of mental health services, the barriers that must be overcome, and the tools and benefits for becoming more culturally responsive.
