Clinical supervision: State-of-the-art 2-Day training

With the recognition that supervision is a distinct professional practice has come direction in the form of specific guidelines, practice standards, and research support. The educational goal of this training is to provide participants a framework of competency-based clinical supervision, critical components, and guided learning through vignettes and interactive problem-solving exercises. Content includes supervisory skills focused on efficacy, technique, and practice. Lecture, discussion, videos and experiential exercises are included.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe four aspects of multiculturally competent competency based clinical supervision.
  • Outline three ways to infuse cultural humility in their clinical supervision.
  • Describe two steps to repair strains and ruptures to the supervisory alliance with cultural humility.
  • Discuss two distinct aspects of trauma-informed clinical supervision.
  • Describe four problem solving steps to address ethical dilemmas.
