BHSD lunch and learn series #8: Opioid use and addiction education

This presentation will help the participant learn about the how opioids work in the brain, how that relates to addiction, and some medication-based treatment options.

Outline the history of opioid crisis
The mechanism of opioids in the brain
A basic understanding of addiction and medical treatments
Discuss the next best steps to address the crisis
