ALOC training to authorize substance use residential treatment services

This course will focus on how to use the Authorization for Level of Care (ALOC) which utilizes ASAM (American Society for Addiction Medicine) principles to determine the appropriate level of care when referring a client to SUTS (Substance Use Treatment Services) residential treatment. We will cover the specific residential levels of care offered in Santa Clara County, how to determine risk potential to distinguish between the lower and higher
levels of care, and documentation tips to meet authorization criteria Please note that a basic familiarity of the American Society for Addiction
Medicine (ASAM) Dimensions and Levels of Care is recommended to attend this training. For those new to ASAM please contact your manager to access the ASAM Modules, for beginners.
