Group rehabilitation and group therapy for co-occurring disorders

Group Rehabilitation & Group for Co-Occurring Disorders was designed as an advanced look at the group leadership with the co-occurring disorder population. We will be building on the concepts explored in the 3 hour Group process class to incorporate more emphasis on integration of group theory and other therapeutic approaches, including group management skills. We will incorporate discussion, lecture, video and interactions so we will be requesting your participation!

Learning objectives:

Identify 3 differences between Support group and Rehab/Group Therapy for Co-Occurring Disorders
Distinguish 4 contraindications for continued participation in group.
Specify 3 personal and ethics qualities of a group leader.
Identify 4 group management skills with COD therapy groups, including responding to disruptive behavior.
