Surviving compassion fatigue

This interactive workshop is designed to address self-care needs of those serving folks facing and impacted by traumatic life events. Current realities and impacts of workplace chronic stress, and personal stressors will be addressed. The group will look at tools and techniques to circumvent challenging aspects of compassion fatigue and to regain a state of neurophysiological (mind-body) regulation, recovery, and resilience. Course content integrates physical techniques and practical strategies to Release/ Reboot/ Recharge on and off the work site without interrupting productivity, eventually increasing effective workforce performance. Management, frontline, and support staff are encouraged and promoted to understand their vulnerabilities and to recognize their own and their colleagues’ warning signs of secondary/vicarious trauma and mitigate the effects while increasing effectiveness.
